On April 6, 2025, the delivery ceremony for the Highstar Malaysia 2.5GWh cylindrical power battery production base project, as well as the groundbreaking ceremony for the mechanical and electrical installation project, was successfully held. The event was attended by nearly 100 participants, including the Chairman of WH United Development Private Limited, Datuk Cheng Meiman; Zhu Guanglong, Deputy General Manager of Highstar Power Co., Ltd.; the Highstar Malaysia team; representatives from the consulting and design firm Jurutera Perunding Gen Sdn Bhd (JPG); Zhang Ruoshou, Deputy General Manager of China Construction Installation Group; and the construction team.

The Highstar Malaysia factory is scheduled to complete the mechanical and electrical installation and equipment commissioning within six months, with plans to commence production in the third quarter of 2025. Once operational, it will become Highstar's first overseas cell factory to achieve mass production and delivery. Its products will serve markets in Southeast Asia, Europe, North America, and beyond, fully meeting customer demands.

The Malaysia factory, officially known as Highstar Energy Malaysia Sdn.Bhd. is Highstar's first overseas cell factory. With a planned investment of RMB 750 million, it will primarily produce cylindrical batteries for power tools, smart mobility devices, and cleaning appliances, achieving an annual production capacity of 2.5GWh for cylindrical batteries.

In recent years, the rapid growth of global markets for power tools, smart mobility, and cleaning appliances has driven increasing demand for batteries.As a leading Chinese small power lithium battery company, Highstar's products have gained widespread market recognition for their quality and performance.

The Malaysia plant will further advance Highstar’s overseas business, marking a significant step forward in the company’s global strategic expansion. By reinforcing its leading position in lithium battery capacity globalization, Highstar continues to strengthen international competitiveness and influence. This project holds significant positive and far-reaching implications for the company's efforts to refine its global industrial layout.
