Amid the global green transition and the pursuit of "dual carbon" goals, on the afternoon of May 16, during the 17th China International Battery Fair (CIBF 2025), Highstar Power Co., Ltd. formally signed a sustainable development cooperation agreement with TÜV Rheinland and Shanghai Institute of Chemical Industry Testing Co., Ltd (SICIT). The signing ceremony took place at the exhibition venue. Representatives from the three parties included Mr. Zhou Wen, Chairman of Highstar Power Co., Ltd.; Mr. Xu Ting, Technical Director of New Energy and Head of Safety Department at SICIT; and Mr. Shi Bing, General Manager of Solar and Commercial Products Services Components Business at TÜV Rheinland Greater China. The collaboration will focus on ESG compliance, due diligence for the EU’s new Battery Regulation, corporate and product carbon footprint management, and other key initiatives. By concentrating on international certification of battery products and carbon footprint governance, this partnership marks a critical step toward a greener global landscape.

This collaboration is centered on the “Dual-Carbon Certification” service, encompassing critical areas such as compliance with the EU’s new Battery Regulation, ESG management system development, and corporate and product carbon footprint accounting. TÜV Rheinland and SICIT will support Highstar in conducting carbon footprint verification for its key global manufacturing bases, while delivering full lifecycle carbon footprint reports and certifications for its battery cell products. This ensures alignment with the EU’s latest regulatory requirements, accelerating the process for Highstar’s battery technologies to gain international authoritative recognition.
The partnership will significantly enhance Highstar’s market access capabilities in Europe and global markets, strengthen its brand credibility and competitiveness on the international stage, and establish a robust green compliance framework for "Made-in-China" products navigating global markets.
This cooperation is of great significance to Highstar
Breaking Through International Green Standards: Achieving certifications such as ISO 14064 and ISO 14607 elevates product compliance, securing "passports" for entry into the EU and premium markets.
Building a Low-Carbon Benchmark: Leveraging authoritative endorsements to enhance brand credibility and establish industry leadership in "green batteries."
Driving Green Transformation Across the Value Chain: From raw material procurement to optimized production processes, leveraging expertise to accelerate carbon footprint reduction and foster circular economy practices.
Leading High-Quality Industry Development: Using technical certification as a lever to provide replicable sustainable development models for the new energy sector, propelling "Chinese Innovation" to the forefront of the global green race.

Moving forward, Highstar will deepen strategic collaboration with TÜV Rheinland and SICIT, driven by technological innovation and green certification, to accelerate progress toward a “ Zero-carbon Future.” The company remains steadfast in contributing Chinese expertise to global energy transformation—striving relentlessly for a sustainable tomorrow!
