Recently,HIGHSTAR Malaysia project team announced that the construction and equipment debugging of its Malaysia plant are progressing smoothly, with the Tabless battery production line soon to enter mass production. As HIGHSTAR's first overseas production base, the commencement of operations at this plant signifies a substantive breakthrough in the company's global strategic layout, further enhancing its capability to serve international customers.

The HIGHSTAR ENERGY MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. plant commenced its Phase I construction in January 2025, with a planned annual capacity of 2.5 GWh and a total investment of approximately USD 105 million. Since the factory building was delivered in the second quarter of this year, the local team has been fully dedicated to production line commissioning and equipment debugging. With all major installations and key milestones completed, overall project is on track. The plant expects multi-tab production to reach mass production in December 2025, with Tabless production officially commencing mass production in February 2026. It will focus on manufacturing and delivering multi-tab and Tabless cylindrical batteries, covering 18- and 21-series products. Once Phase I reaches full production, annual output is projected to exceed 300 million cells, significantly enhancing the company’s product supply and responsiveness in markets such as power tools, smart cleaning appliances, two-wheelers, and portable energy storage.

The establishment and commissioning of the Malaysian facility represent a crucial step in HIGHSTAR’s localized operation strategy, helping mitigate international trade policy risks. As the company's first overseas base to achieve mass production and delivery, this plant will effectively support the growth of overseas orders, accelerate delivery schedules for major international clients, and lay a solid foundation for the company's expansion in European, American, and Southeast Asian markets.
With over 30 years of expertise in battery cell research and manufacturing, HIGHSTAR’s products are widely used in power tools, smart cleaning appliances, two-wheelers, backup power, and energy storage. To date, the company has shipped more than 4.5 billion battery cells worldwide. In recent years, HIGHSTAR has continued to enhance its global marketing network, establishing offices across Asia, Europe, and North America to better serve international clients through improved responsiveness and localization. As the Malaysia plant gradually achieves stable operation, HIGHSTAR, with its more efficient and flexible supply chain system, is poised to collaborate with global partners in creating a green energy future.

From June 3 to 5, the 19th SNEC PV+ International Photovoltaic Power Generation and Smart Energy Conference & Exhibition was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.

From cylindrical ternary lithium batteries to prismatic lithium iron phosphate batteries, and from sodium-ion batteries to the development of a low-carbon certification system, highstar continues to serve the global professional power market with multiple technology routes, diverse application scenarios, and multidimensional quality management capabilities.
