Xu Zhongyuan, executive deputy general manager of Highstar Power Supply Company, and Zhou Li, secretary of the board of directors, reported to Mayor Wang and his party on the construction of the "Phase I Project of 12GWh Prismatic Lithium-ion Battery with an Annual Output of 12GWh" of Highstar Energy Storage Technology.

The total planned investment of the project is 1.3 billion, and the project products are mainly used to provide power sources for new energy storage, 5G communications, smart grids, etc. At present, the infrastructure part of the project is basically completed, and it is expected that by 2024, a production capacity of 6GWh will be formed, with an annual increase of 4 billion yuan in taxable sales and 160 million yuan in tax revenue. The project will build a fully automatic intelligent production line from batching to battery assembly, and adopt advanced automatic metering and high-speed homogenization systems to ensure the uniformity of battery slurry; Double-layer double-nozzle extrusion coating technology to ensure the accuracy of electrode surface density; Multi-process online real-time effective control means, the whole process automatic "zero contact" automatic assembly line to achieve network management, the formation of an annual output of 6GWh square lithium-ion battery production capacity.

Mayor Wang and his entourage observed carefully, kept asking, and paid great attention to the project. Mayor Wang said that Highstar has been deeply involved in the real economy of manufacturing industry for decades, and is a local enterprise engaged in the new energy industry earlier in Qidong and even the entire Nantong area. While grasping the progress of the project, the project construction should also pay attention to the quality of the project, and hope that Highstar can become a demonstration benchmark and further bring long-term positive impact and good social benefits to the development of related industries in Nantong.
